Fuel pump relay?

Car: 1987 Camaro iroc z
Engine: 350 TPI 5.7L
Transmission: Automatic
Fuel pump relay?
my fuel pump only works sometimes as i hear it turn on but not all the time. tehy said to check the connections before changing the main pump. So i need to know where the fuel pump relay is?

if its a TPI it should be one of the relays above the C100 bulkhead in the engine bay on the driver side

kinda late LOL
but it only runs for a few seconds at fist key on
then the pump waits for oil pressure to build before working again
low oil pressure or a failing sensor near the oil filter may be to blame

The pump will run for only 1-2 seconds to "prime" the injectors when the key is turned on and car not started - that part is accurate.
But full-time running of the pump has nothing to do with oil pressure, it has to do with the ECM reading a constant ignition signal and thus turning on the fuel pump relay.
ONLY if/when the ECM and/or fuel pump relay does not operate properly, THEN the oil pressure seending unit will run the pump after it senses oil pressure (severla minutes of constant cranking to build up the pressure) - this is a back-up fuel pump circuit, in order to limp home.
