Fuel Gage readings all over the map.

Basically when I'm at a standstill the fuel gage seems to read correctly. But as I drive or if I'm going up or down a hill the needle goes up and down. Unstable reading.

Any ideas guys?

Fuel Gage Had Too Much Alcohol

Some variance is normal, especially when the tank gets below half because the float is going up and down with the sloshing fuel.

If the transitions are smooth it’s consistent with normal.

If the transitions are sharp it’s consistent with a loose connection in the circuit or a failing rheostat.

Happy Racing!
