Starting Issues

hey everyone i have a 91 camaro with a carbed 350. My wife took the car the other day and it started just fine. She shut it off at her friends house and when she came back out to leave it wouldn't crank. All the accessory stuff comes on just fine and i had the battery and starter tested and they are both good. I checked for loose wires and found none, but I'm not sure where to look now. Oh, yeah she tried to jump start it and the car wouldn't crank at all.

Little background: The car would start just fine and then if you shut the car off after the fan had come on it would sometimes struggle to start.

I appreciate any help you guys can give.

Dan

Re: Starting Issues

i had this same problem. im still trying to figure it out. i got a new starter and it kind of helped. mine used to struggle to start sometimes too.. it starts fine but it will click sometimes and not do anything other times. Your problem could just be the starter going bad. Try cleaning your grounds and checking for corroded wires like your positive and negative battery wires, mine were kind of stiff in the middle where they started corroding.

Re: Starting Issues

I appreciate peoples help. I figured it out. The fool who had this before me added a random inline fuse in the middle of a wire mess and it was bad. Replaced fuse and car fired right up. Thanks again.
