A little dash gauge and light help, think I have it narrowed down
89 Camaro.
Does anyone have a write up of what pins should see 12volts and which are grounds on the two pin sets that the gauges plug into?
Basically I am starting to think maybe it is my ribbon on the gauges that are bad. Simply because I find the pin for the right blinker ilumination light, turn on the blinker and it blinks as it should. Blinker is off, no power going to that pin, however, when I plug the dash in that blinker illuminator light stays on all the time when the headlight switch is activated. Still blinks though when you trigger the blinker, but when it cancels it stays on, even though there is no power to that pin.
Please tell me I am on to something and how I can further test this and fix it. Have my guages never work and half my illumination lights in the dash never work either.
Thanks a bunch!

Im basically hoping it is this simple, if the pin is flashing only when the blinker is on, but then put the cluster in and then that illumination light stays on it must be getting power from somewhere else within the gauges. (Has to be the shared ground right?, but then Im confused why half my lights work and half dont)

Problem Fixed! Went and found another bare cluster bin at a junk yard snapped it in and most of it worked. Thanks for the help from everyone on the previous posts.
