Head Light Motor Testing
I'm trying to test a set of headlight motors to make sure their good,how would I go about that??

Connect them to a 12v battery. Motor should spin. Then swap wires to opposite terminals and motor should spin the other way.

This is what I did,I unplugged my headlight motors and plugged the ones that need to tested and they run,but are they supposed to keep spinning.the motors started to run with the headlight switch in the off position.Are they supposed to do this,because they aren't installed yet.

They'll keep spinning as long as they have power. However, there should be no power to the motors with the switch off and the lights all the way up or down. The control module sends power to pop them up or down but cuts the power when they hit the end of their travel. You may need to trace back to the relay and then the control module etc. That's on my '91. Not sure if it makes a difference but what year do you have?
