went to the jy today popped the hood on 5 different fbirds they all had the wires plugging into the front of module. mine plug into the sides of the module.

 

Last I checked, the headlight module was the same from 85-92... At least it is on every one I've seen. Maybe you're looking at the wrong module on your car (or someone installed a different module?).

 

There are two modules used on our thirdgen firebirds. The confusing thing is that they use the same case, so it is an easy mistake to think there is just one. One is the 1987-89 (3 model years only). The other was used from 1990-2002 Firebird. You are fortunate to have a LOT of model years to get one from. I have both versions in stock if you can't find a good one.

when i looked closer someone has hacked wires and used module from diff. type car. i going to jy and putting it back to original.
