Non ac wiring diagram and issue I could use help with

Im looking for a non AC wiring diagram as I put my non ac system on my 89 iroc last night that was in my 85 before. It was all working when removed but now I cant get it to turn on. I checked and its got power going to it from the brown dash wire but doesnt turn on. All the wiring is run to the delete box but still nothing.

Am i missing something here?? I havent seen a ground on the entire system but maybe its grounded thru itself to the body?

Please let me know if you can help

No Goer On The Blower

The brown wire goes from the fuse to the switch and needs to be powered in RUN.

From there the switch output is supposed to go to the blower resistors.

Therefore in the stock configuration the
brown wire is not supposed to go the blower, and you didn’t say you deleted the resistors.

Don’t forget to apply power directly to the blower to test it.

I took the wiring out as it was in my 85 but I think im missing a ground somewhere as my GM electronics manual says there is a ground by the blower motor.

Does anyone have a pic of the AC delete box with the wiring connected or of the wiring behind the HVAC controls??

I want to get to the bottom of this ASAP as I want to get my dash together. Thanks

Here's a pic of the factory (87?) AC delete harness. The Black wire is a single length that's folded in the middle and taped to the other wires near the resistor plug. One end gets ground from the body and the other end gives ground to the blower motor.

Are you using a non-AC harness or a AC harness for this conversion?

The AC style harness gets it's ground from the Heater harness-to-engine wiring harness conection. (It's not screwed to the body like the non-AC system ) The non/AC system doesn't have that connection, it's more of a "stand alone" harness.

I see my problem now as the ground is missing on mine. I will have to search for a new one I guess. I had a few of them here but for some reason I can't find them to compare them. My harness is the same like that one but missing the ground
