I have a '92 RS.I have done a search but cannot find one that QUITE describes my problem.The PDL on the drivers side works great, but I have to hit the button several more times in order to get the passengers side to lock.After some time, the passengers side would not lock at all, and I would blow the 20 amp ACC fuse.
I had to replace the window motor on the passengers side so I decided while I have the door panel off, I'd lube the crap out of the door lock and actuator.It seemed to make a difference because I haven't blown the ACC fuse yet and the door unlocks a lot easier with the key.Also, the rods move a lot easier when the button is pushed.
My main problem is this-the passengers side door will only lock or unlock by using the key.It won't lock from the inside AT ALL even though the door appears to be locked.And YES I hear the 'click' when I press the PDL button (either side door).
What gives?I am thinking it's the lock actuator/solenoid but I want to make double damn sure before I spend any money on parts.
