I'm working on a project and need help with some wiring..I'm taking the front off a camaro and putting it in my 91 bird..anyone have a suggestion on how to wire the lights on the camaro to the firebird cause one set of lights on the camaro have 4 wires were.the bird has one 2 lamps with 3 wires..I'm guessing the set on the camaro are 2 hots(grn) one for low beam and other for high beam then ground with this one other wire that idk what it does...any one have a ideas of how to do this?

 

Your building a Cambird/Firemaro? There are a few of those here & if you can find one, the Owner can tell you how they spliced 4 lights into 2 plugs.

Search for cambird on here and ull find a red and white one...I'm working on the camaro center console right now

 

Never mind... Thought you were going the other way...

There is one black wire on the Bird lights. It needs to become 2 for the Camaro lights. Other than that, cut the pigtails off of the Bird lights and put in the split Camaro connectors. The wire colors match up... Green is still one light and tan is still the other.

I might end up going the reverse... But I need to find a hood and pass side fender first. I paid WAAAY too much for the 91-92 Bird parts to just throw them out .

 

Thanx for the info.ill be doing the headlights soon as I have the front on the bird all the way...its kinda just sitting on it lol a few things need to get cut off and holes drilled on the saport between the bumper and rad saport


ya I bought the firebird a few years ago then when the trans went out I bought a cheap camaro that was a wiring nightmare under the hood well soon as the trans messed up on that one I started to strip the camaro of what I needed to do some stuff on the bird and sold the rest to do the trans on the bird...
