SPARK PLUG WIRE QUESTION....

I have a spark plug wire issue....I dont know if they need to be replaced or not... The car has a lot of rough running issues... 305 V8 non-computer year unknown....

Here is some Ohm readings I took today from each plug wire... Maybe some one can look at these and give some insite....

Plug wire: All figures are in Ohms and inches in length....

1--38 inches--1,590 ohms>>> ohms per foot===502
2--34 inches--1,370 ohms>>> ohms per foot===484
3--33 inches--1,300 ohms>>> ohms per foot===472
4--29 inches--1,150 ohms>>> ohms per foot===475
5--22 inches--2,420 ohms>>> ohms per foot===1320
6--34 inches--1,390 ohms>>> ohms per foot===490
7--38 inches--1,580 ohms>>> ohms per foot===498
8--31 inches--1,440 ohms>>> ohms per foot===557

The wires are Accel 8mm.....

Are these number good, bad, or what......Wire #5 seem different compared to the rest.....

Look at Nology wires. They are expensive but are way ahead of there time.

Re: SPARK PLUG WIRE QUESTION....

you should be 500 ohm per foot, acdelco usually have 150 ohm a foot and msd makes ones with 40-50 ohms a foot.
