Stuck Gas Gauge
Hey guys, went on an 16 hour round trip with my '86 T/A this past weekend and the old girl handled it like a champ. No major issues or breakdowns. It was the first real road trip I've taken in my car and probably the funnest driving experience I've ever had.
Although on the second leg of my journey after a top up on gas no more than half hour later I look down at my gas gauge and it reads a quarter tank left!
It would continue to read between a quarter tank and almost empty for the rest of the trip. Even though I had plenty of gas. Even after another fill up it wouldn't go past a quarter tank. It just sits there and won't go up. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Re: Stuck Gas Gauge
I have the same problem. But lately it has been working correctly and only occasionally sticks at a quarter tank. When I dropped below a quarter it would still work though. I was told the problem is in the gas tank on mine. However, you could check to make sure you have good ground contact behind the back seat under the carpet where the ground connects to the body.
