so...ya...uh...got a new gta..new..ish..? 17k miles

my genius friend stuck a penny in my ..sigh...lighter thing..so after sparks and smoking.. the fuse popped. now, when i put a fuse in it pops so i tried bypassing(putting a wire to connect) now all i get is smoke, and burning smells
but the problem is.. i can live without my radio and lights inside car, but my digital dash (speedo, and lower right screen that shows milage etc) do not work.
any tips? starting pulling my center console out lol. figured its a place to start

 

any diagrams or anything that can help?

 

Check the nearby wires for the ciggie lighter to see if some of them got molt insulate causing the short circuit.

 

try unplugging the cig lighter and put a new fuse in while its unplugged. see if that helps. You DID take the penny out right??

 

i tried that, and that! cant find and diagrams and it still smokes!

 

i really just need a diagram of how the lighter is ran so i know what all to replace, lol
