Electric Cutoff??

Hey guys just wanted to know what exactly is the purpose of an electric cutoff is??pros and cons....this subject is faily vague to me anything to clear things up would be greatly appreciated thanks!

for safety, usually required at some tracks incase of an accident. sparks and gas arent a good thing, lol.
or were you talking about exhaust cut-outs?

"Electric cutoff" is pretty ambiguous, what type of "cutoff" are you asking about?
