Connector Identification help please!

Can anyone tell me what these 2 unhooked items are for in the pictures below?

The first is a connector that comes out of the wiring harness by the distributor. Wiring colors are Pink/Black stripe and solid Black.

The second is a relay, plug or something that was laying under the wiper motor. It could be something the PO let fall down there and never removed or it was in the engine bay loose and fell over there.

The numbers show it is for a window down reverse switch according to google and the numbers on it with GM as search text. Not sure if this is correct though.

What year car and motor do you have? Your first pic looks like the connector that goes to the air temp sensor under the plenum on a tpi motor. There would be a jumper harness that plugs into this connector and then goes to the sensor. The second pic looks like the reversing switch for the hatch pull down motor. It would plug onto the motor.

The sensor under the plenum in the rear is hooked up, however if it is a jumper wire then it could very well be unhooked. I will check in just a few minutes.

The application is an 87 Iroc 5.7 TPI

Thanks for identifying the second one. I found references to reverse relay and had read it was hatch relay but wasn't sure why it would have been under the hood.

The first one is the notorious "mystery connector" that nobody knows what it's for. My own personal theory, totally untested and unproven but the only thing that makes sense, is that it was used for some sort of testing on the production line, since the wires are 12V ECM wire (pink/black) and ground. Would have been for powering up the engine before assembly into a chassis for run-in or whatever else, without having to have it hooked up to a dash and fuse box and all that.

The other does look EXTREMELY like a window-related part, since the switches for those usually just have round solid copper pins about .080" diameter and about 3/8" long that the switches just sort of jam down onto. Might even be off of some other car, not for one of these at all, I don't recall ever seeing one like that in any of these.
