85 to the 87

So I'm doing the auto to manual swap boogie. 700r4 to the T5. I have a full parts car so everything is going to be swapped over from the 85 to the 87. I'm trying to save myself as much money as possible here so here is my question. Can I take the dash out of the 85 with the cable drive speedo and plug it into my dash for the 87 that has an electric speedo? I know I would need to run the cable to drive the speedo no problem it's still attached to the trans. But would the tach and fuel and battery gauge work? The oil pressure and coolant temp are after market not worried about those.

Does your 85 Vette have a cable drive speedo?
Tacho and gauges are not affected by a trans swap

Re: 85 to the 87

yes it has the cable drive. the cable is still attached to the trans. I know the gauges aren't affected but the speedo is. To keep myself from having to buy more stuff I want to put the 85 gauge cluster in my 87 to keep from having to buy new speedo gears or the converter box. So I guess I will ask this does anyone have the schematics for the pin connectors for both the 85 and the 87 firebird gauge cluster?
