Ok I got an 1989 rs 305 auto for free about a week ago clean body cali car been sitting under an half shed for 3 years it did run when parked. Know ive been trying to get the thing to start or show some sign of life. flushed and changed all the fluids and drained and cleaned the tank. The steering column in the car was rat f@$#ed i dont know why so i pulled it out and put one in from a 1984 firebird witch is stuck in the run postion and i put the right amount of resistors on to trick the vats witch ive done before on my 1992 formula. The securty light will not turn off and i cant get the car to crank or any thing and help would be appreciated.
