New problem my car has developed out of nowhere.

For some unknown reason i can only open the hatch with the button on the dash if the handbrake is up, even with the car switched off ? this is a nightmare now as i have got the knight rider lower console fitted which covers the handbrake

It used to pop the hatch with the car off whether the handbrake was up or down, or if the car was running and the handbrake was on i could pop it then too.

 

It's fixed itself, that's how it should work. Stops you popping the hatch while driving.

 

Well the button doesn't work with the engine running. It should pop the hatch with the car turned off and the handbrake down but it doesnt

 

Check the contacts down by the handle anchor, something might have got between them.

 

Thanks Dyno Don, i will have a look in there, i might of knocked something when installing the knight rider console
