So the ground and signal sources are labeled on the circuit, but which post do I connect the power to? Also, anyone have any good ideas on how to test the oil pressure gauge without having it hooked up to the car? Electronics n00b here...

To test the oil gage connect one end of a 47Ω resister from the connection the sender wire would be connected to.
Connect the end of the 47Ω resister to the ground connection on the gage.
Apply power to the gage.
If the gage reads about half way the gage is good.

To test the tach apply power, then using a battery charger, connect ground to ground, and the + to the signal input.
If the tach is for an 8 cylinder, it will indicate 1800 RPM.
