Some issues with GTA digital dash after transmission service

Hey guys could use some insight here. I dropped the transmission on my 87 GTA to do the seals and filter. Upon putting it back in, I start it up and notice I have no illumination at all on the digital dash. If I put a flashlight to it you can see everything is on. I also have no indicators for like the SES, brake, seat belt. Interior lights work, driving and headlights work, radio also works. What happened? Perhaps I pulled a ground or something?

The first thing I'd do is to check the Cluster, Tail, Courtesy, and Gauge fuses to be SURE that they are good. I'd then check the grounds,... the one under the dash near the steering column and the 1 or 2 Ground wires that might have been removed from the back of the cylinder heads.

Hate to say it; but it could very possibly be a coincidence and the dash might have simply failed.

I got it sorted out. Gauge fuse kept blowing, couldn't figure out why. I cleaned the trans up with some degreaser and washed it off while I had it out. I guess at that time water got in the connection for the VSS. Thus shorting out while sending the signal back to the dash which kept blowing the gauges fuse. All is well now.
