Guage wiring

I have an 87 IROC with 468 BB 350 Turbo installed. All the factory wiring has been terminated under the hood. I want to hook up the factory gauges to the Big Block and want to know if its a simple hook wires to the correct sensor or if the wires went though the ECM.

Re: Guage wiring

The gauge wiring does NOT run thru the ECM. All the Gauge wiring is placed in the C100 Firewall connector on the drivers side of the engine bay.

Re: Guage wiring

John
Thanks for the information. Being the lazy guy I thought I would throw it out there instead if laying under the dash ringing wire out. I have been a drag racer all my life and after 49 years of racing this is the first dual use (track/street) car I have ever built. This is going to be a fun ride when I get it cleaned up. I have known this car and the owners since it was new and watched it evolve to where it is today. Lots of good parts but we won't talk about the installation of them. Thanks again for the help. Al

Re: Guage wiring

No Problem Al !

I'm a firm believer in asking a question that requires a 2 minute answer rather then wasting 1/2 - 1 hour of uncomfortable/needless work time to try and figure something out.

Glad I could help

Re: Guage wiring

not to hijack anyones thread but i replaced my interior harness with another one and same with the headlight harness in the engine bay side. Are there any differences in the years on the headlight harness. Reason i ask is that when my headlights are switched on, my high beam and my right turn signal stay on light its back feeding from some where. Trying to figure out whats going on with it

Re: Guage wiring

do you know the tears of the harnesses you used as you can look up the C100 pinout on them to see if it matches and go from there
