84 Z28 Electric Fuel Pump
When I bought this 84 Z28, I'm pretty sure the electric fuel pump was working because I would be able to hear it when I would put the key into the run position. This was before I took out the ECM because I didn't need it with the engine setup I'm running.
My problem is now, I'm not exactly clear on how the circuit operates and closes the relay. I can't find any wiring diagram in my shop manual, but before anyone says there's no E. Fuel Pump in this car, the manual says there is one in this car.
I took the connector off of the relay for the fuel pump and I'm getting voltage to pin D, but nothing else to A, B, C, and E. I found that Pins B and C go to this other connector which hooks into a connector on the ECM harness, and I assume they are the wires that open and close the relay.

I reconnected the ECM harness to that connector, hooked the ECM up to the dash harness, put the key in run, and I didn't hear the fuel pump running.
I'm not sure what could be keeping the pump from running because I'm pretty sure I have everything hooked up correctly.
If anyone has setup an 84's fuel pump circuit without the ECM and could help me with this, it would be much appreciated!
Has anyone here worked with setting up the electric fuel pump with the ECM

Connect pink / white wire to the Ign switch (run ) and ground the black/white wire that went to the ECM
Relay will close when the Ign is turned on and the pump will run

Re: 84 Z28 Electric Fuel Pump
Thanks so much for the reply! Got the fuel pump running today after I realized the dash harness I replaced in my car didn't have the wires for the fuel pump. I hooked those up, put the pink/white wire to an ignition switched wire, grounded it, and the fuel pump started running. I also realized I was messing with the wrong relay before I posted this and the pic of the connector I posted has nothing to do with the fuel pump circuit.
