A few months ago I got my transmission replaced, and shortly after my Odometer stopped ticking. This week there was an electrical fire in my dash. Once extinguished, my speedometer no longer worked. All other gauges worked correctly.

I took the dash apart, and behind/beneath the speedometer I found this thing.

I took the cluster and the chip to the mechanic, and the mechanic couldn't tell me what it was called, nor how to obtain a new one. Same at O'Reilleys. I tried to find a Haynes manual but they apparently stopped making them.

What is it, and how do I get a new one?

Vehicle is stock, original gauges, and the cruise control still works.
