Trouble Re-installing C-100 bulkhead connector
Alright, I give up! Does anyone have any suggestions on reinstalling the bulkhead connector? I pulled it off after I yanked the interior to do carpet, weld floors, and rework the interior wiring harness...Now I can't get the dang connector back in, it appears to "seat" but the bolt isn't near long enough to get the nut started. What am I missing, and how do you get the unit to seat in? There has to be a tip, or trick to this!?!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Make sure you didn't bend any pins when you tried to reconnect.
Doesn't this connector have some kind of sealer (looks like hot glue) in it from the factory? Maybe excess is preventing the connector from fully seating.

Thanks. Dug out some of the dielectric grease, but there wasn't a TON of it in there. Didn't notice any bent pins though. So I decided to dig a little further, disconnected the passenger side (small half) from the engine side of the C-100. This side seated fine, the driver side (large half) of the C-100 still doesn't not seat, and this is the side that has the bolt connected...I'm planning to mess around with it a little more tonight, and hopefully will get the girl back together...then cobble the interior back in, and get the car running again.
