I have a 1986 z28 with a carbed 305. I am thinking of putting headers on the car and so out of curiosity I went to see if I could find the o2 sensor. I looked on the driver side and passenger side of the exhaust manifold and do not see it. The previous owner decided to run 3" exhaust all the way back from the stock headers and I'm guessing he didn't attach the o2 sensor. I looked on top and under the car and all I could find were these unplugged sensors. How does the o2 sensor wire harness look? The sensor in the picture has a wire looped into the end as well.

 

Does anyone at least know if a 1986 carburated 305 engine had an oxygen sensor?
