Re: connect power locks to existing alarm

I would think the first step would be to see if the alarm will support unlocking/locking of the door locks. You'd probably find this info by determining the brand of alarm you have and getting a hold of the installation instructions.

If power door locks are supported, just follow the instructions for hooking the alarm to a "reverse polarity" lock system.

You're on your own from here.

Well, that's what the instructions/wiring diagram will tell you. Different models/manufactures will be different. With this little info, we can't help you. It's always best to find diagrams and instructions before you know it your car won't start or your lights won't work lol

The wires you are looking for are located near the left door under the dash.

Remove the knee bolster to gain access.

The wire
colors are light blue 18 AWG for locking, and black 18 AWG for unlocking.

When you believe you have located the correct ones you can test them with a fused (1 amp is fine) jumper wire, to jump the suspected wires, one at a time, to 12 volts.

The correct wires will lock and unlock the doors.

Happy Racing !
