Ground issue??
I bought a 84 z28 with a 350. The only problem with it was supposed to be when you drive down the road and slow down, the lights turn off. They said it was probably a ground issue that was easy to fix. Well...I had the alternator tested just in case, and that test came back good. So, I don't even know where to start on a ground issue. Can someone help me out here?
It's a 350, by the way.

Elaborate more on what you mean when you say the lights turn off. Are they on but just very dim?

Re: Ground issue??
The headlight grounds are located just under the "lip" of the front body structure and very easy to access. ( just on the side of the L&R radiator support) Might as well check the battery cable bround (next to the battery) as well as the engine to body ground too ( on firewall above heater lines.)
Doubt it's a ground problem,......
Easy to check: Check your fuse box for burn marks.
Harder to check: Check your headlight switch for burn marks. ( I'm betting the headlight switch or it's connector is burned out. )
