Hello, I currently have a 91 RS. The speedo was/is not working and I had some lights out behind the cluster. I removed the cluster and replaced the backlights and the lens. When I installed it back in, I had no instrument lights, gas gauge not working, not sure about the speedo. The following works: Tach, Oil Pressure, Temp, turn signals. I checked voltage to the circuit strip where it plugs into the harness and got 12+ volts. It does not feel like it is seating all the way in. Should I be getting a little "snap' in? The right side seems to snap in a little but nothing on the right. I did a continuity check from the connection point to the first light and it was fine. Any suggestions?? All my other interior lights re working. could it be in the little circuit board below the speedo on the left side?? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

 

I had pulled gauges out to work on the speedo, when I put it back in I had an air bag light. I pulled back out to check if any tabs were folded over, they weren't. but when I put it back in I seated the top screws first, then the bottom. all was fine.

 

Thanks fro the reply. I decided to take the whole cluster to have it checked. I took it to
Specmo in Madison Heights Michigan. They went through it and got everything working properly and at a fair price. They even supplied a newer lens. Picked it up on Friday,
put it in on Saturday and BAM everything is working just like it should. The small circuit
board for the speedo side was bad and they also found the one for the tach was not far from going bad also.
