so i have been inactive on this board for some time now. (life happens lol) anyway im finally ready to finish this money pit of a car i have lol. SO here is my question. i did some research on Google and searched the forums but i was unable to find anything. i have a 87 gta that had a tpi 350 in it. but when i bought it, it had a low end bearing knock. so we pulled the whole motor out. and replaced it with a crate 350 rated for 325hp on a carburetor setup. Anyway my question is i have a digital dash in the trans am and my question will getting rid of the tpi mess with the dash at all or will i have to swap it to a non digital (which would suck because i think the digital is cool looking). i know the fuel and temp will work. but I am concerned about the rpm gauge and the speedo working. we are leaving the computer in the car as i think its computer controlled but ultimately I am just not sure and i have been unable to find any information on it. any information anyone can give me would be helpful as i am hoping to have the car up and running in a few months. we have left the ecu in the car and it looks like it has been tuned by hyper tech. but as of right now the car has no motor no tranny and no rear end it and we have been shifting through the wiring tucking everything away. we have not cut anything off the wiring harness and are just leaving it alone. my personal thought was the 305s also came with a digital dash so i don't see much a problem but again i am unsure.
