WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!

The old one came right out. But I will be DAMMED I cant get the new one back in. Its the same size, everything. I read elsewhere is normally the reverse, getting the old out is hard and the new one goes right back in.

Any help here would be appreciated. I am going NUTS on this. thanks.

 

Nevermind. I just put the old starter and new starter next to each other, the DAMN solenoid is LONGER then the original, by a little more than a quarter inch. Its brand new and now scuffed up trying to get this POS in the car. I doubt Advanced Auto parts will take it back now. This is SO damn frustrating.

Can someone please recommend what LT1 starter I should buy?? Even my original starter is lighter than this replacement! My arms are killing me!!

 

Well they took it back and gave me a full refund. Now I need to find a smaller high performance starter from Summit.
