If my ground wire is broken...
If my ground wire is broken...
The ground wire running from my negative battery terminal to the frame of the car is broken. Am I ok to run my car with it like this? If it needs to be fixed, is there a way to just mend it, or does it need to be replaced? If it needs to be replaced, where can I get my hands on a new wire?

Everything electrical needs a ground to complete the electrical path. Get it fixed and fixed right. Take it off and go to an auto parts store.

If your ground wire is broken, fix it.
How basic can something like this get?
You can cut off whatever is broken about it, and splice on a new piece of BIG FAT HEAVY wire, like #10 or so, with BIG FAT HEAVY-DUTY terminals.
If it's broke at the battery, get a new neg batt cable. It's like $8 or something. Less than you spent on lunch today. Not worth getting all worked up about. Just do it.
