Painless Wirirng Harness/ Guages
Painless Wirirng Harness/ Guages
Ok help me reslove this for the last time... ACan I use the Painless Speed density harness to convert my 88 TA 305 TBI to TPI... Who's done this-? how do I keep all my extras like guages? (I heard I can't hook them up) I don't care if I loose my A/C. I'm concernd about this... Any help is Appreciated. Links too
Secondly... b4 I started all this my car was totally stock (just lowered) One night I got out for a cruise and my guage lights didn't work.
I changed the cluster from another TA I have (It works) and it didn't work either. From there I checked my dimmer switch... and replced it too. still no change... I looked for fuses... Am I missing something?
Thanks to anyone who respondes

Check the gauges fuse, again. If it's OK, with the parking lights on, verify that there is voltage between the cluster connector lights & ground pins. If no power, then the problem is not in the cluster. If ther is power at the connector, the problem is in the cluster. The TBI to TPI swap should not affect the gauges, as they are routed through the driver's side harness. If you do the swap, you will be replacing the passenger side (ECM) harness.
