Headlights not working

Ok guys heres the deal i have a 1988 camaro iroc 5.7L the headlights went out a couple weeks ago ive checked the forums on here as much as i could and ive checked all the fuses and just replaced the headlight switch to no ivale. The car is sitting with the dash torn apart because as soon as i saw that the switch didnt fix it i got ticked off if anyone knows whats wrong or has ever had this problem please please help im lost and have no clue where to go from here

Should be a big red wire at the headlight switch. Should have battery on it at all times. ??

Should be a yellow wire. Should have batt on it when the lights are turned on. ??

That yellow wire goes to the dimmer switch. (on top of the steering column, near the driver's left foot) The other 2 wires are light green, and tan. Tan is the low beams, green is high.

With the headlight sw on (yellow wire is now hot), tan should have batt on it in one position of the dimmer sw, and lt green in the other. ??

Once you've completed those tests you can put the dash back together.

Ok so i tested the red wire and found 2.1vdc and about the same for the yellow wire when the **** was pulled so that means that the switch isnt getting enough power?
where do i trace it from there?
