No power to Ignition Switch

So I was removing two alarm systems from the car, and seem to have encountered a problem.

At this time, I do not have power to the tumbler/ignition switch. Coming from the engine side of the C100, I do have power at the red A4 block (which should power ignition) but the switch does nothing.

Also, I've found these two connectors that appear to be misisng relays. I don't have a relay to plug in (that i've found) but they do have hot wires coming into them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: No power to Ignition Switch

Those are not relay sockets , they are the plugs that are supposed to be plugged into the ignition switch , which , BTW , resides at the bottom of the steering column (down sorta near where the column meets the firewall) , and is activated by a pushrod that comes from the key lock cylinder .

Re: No power to Ignition Switch

OMG - if that's the case you will have made me incredibly happy! I'll go out and dig to find those connectors in a little bit (wife gave me errands to do...grrr).

Thanks so much, if i can't find anything, I'll take photos of the area to post.

Edit

Lowered the steering column, and found the two connections you mentioned! Huge help. Car still isn't starting, but I'm steps further than where I was at, and can troubleshoot more from here. Thank you so much for the help and the quick reply!!!! Don't think I was ever going to find those connections w/o your help!

Your certainly welcome and if there is anything else I may know the answer to , feel free to ask . I'm no "Third Gen Guru" by any means , but I have been around these cars enough now to have seen most of the parts & where they go .
