Has anyone installed 3 gauges where the a/c -heater slot goes above the radio? I measured the area and there is enough room but will have to Dremel out some areas to make fit
I'm sure it could be done and made to look nice, but why not go with a gauge pillar? They are not too expensive and look really nice. Here is the two gauge pillar I installed.............

Looks pretty good, but I'm looking to just have the three below my tach so I can look in one area. Idealy it should look sweet. But I'm sure there are a few snags I'll run into with mounting them.
The pillar gauges look nice, but I don't like advertising that I have extra gauges (because the younger folks seem to take that as an invitation to challenge me to a race-which I have no desire to do). Additionally, most of the pods touch the dash. IIRC, the older autometer pillar pods were slightly higher so they didn't touch.
I placed two 2-1/16" gauges and my fan and fuel pump switch in the radio's spot using the plastic dash undertray from another third gen, gives it the same textured plastic look. I really like it, sure it could be done in the heater controls area if you had a stereo.
