Vats question

I have a 92 Camaro I swapped in a carbed 5.7 from tbi the car won't crank and the security light is on from what I have read it's the vats. I have been looking up ways to bypass this and seems to be a cpl diff opinions. I have seen one guy jump some wires on the driver side firewall under the hood, heard about jumping some wires coming under the column, read about the using a resistor and last read about grounding the relay under the kick panel. Was wondering which way you guys would recommend. That or any info on how the system works that away I can actually understand what's going on would be great thanks in advance

Since you still have the ECM I think you have to satisfy the resistor check or the ECM won't allow fuel.

The other methods that jump the start relay are used by folks that ripped out the ECM.

Only the starter enable relay needs to be bypassed. Iirc the passkey grounds to control it. It it's better to jumper or connect the two outer wires green and yellow or purple . The wires are the larger gauge ones. The relay is under the drivers side kick panel maybe under tar tape.

I tried to jump that relay today with no luck, when I turn the key the security light came on for a second or two then went off when I tried to crank the car nothing but I noticed the brake light on the dash comes on for as long as I hold the key to the start position
