Fuel Gauge
I am working on my dash and gauge problems. I took apart the gauge bezel and tapped all of the gauge needles and noticed the gas needle is the only one that won't move without force. Is that normal? It's been stuck on full since I bought the car, but I haven't checked the under side. Just thought that was strange.

Re: Fuel Gauge
If the needle is stuck above full, the needle could be sticking on the metal bezel. If that is not the case you have an open circuit that is usually a bad sending unit in the tank; I got lucky and found that my wire connector from the tank to the body harness was dirty and just needed cleaned and reconnected.

Re: Fuel Gauge
The needle isn't sticking and I know I need to fix something on the sender.
The needle itself is stiff. Hard to move physically.

Re: Fuel Gauge
The needle should not be difficult to move, I would suspect a bad gauge.
