These two rings are on the PS and were attached to the head.

I've been cleaning up the wiring harness and I discovered the yellow wire and the white on black wire are not connected to anything. Well the black wire splits in two and one goes into the harness but the other doesn't go anywhere. I'm not sure which way in the harness yellow went but the loose black definitely goes to the pax side. I've traced back along the length of wire and not found anyplace they might have connected to.

Could I have accidentally cut them or are there grounds in the harness that are not used?

The only unused connections will still have a terminal and connector on the end. Cut wires, are cut wires.

Is that a wire nut? Wire nuts and cars should never mix.

 

ECM Grounds,..... those 2 grounds probably got factory-spliced for a LOT of other electrical functions too.
