brake light switch problem

recently converted from t5 to t56. when I step on the brakes I have no brake lights. the lights work when turned on. when driving I hear a clicking sound from the pedal area. I may have disconnected or damaged something under there. any ideas?

Re: brake light switch problem

This has nothing to do with the transmission, so rule all of that out. Most likely you broke/cracked the brake pedal switch OR you didn't reconnect it. It's an easy fix and the brake switches are cheap, maybe $10-15. Its just ridiculous how easy they are to break or crack. I had the same discovery when I put the transmission and pedals back into my project car.

Easy part to score? I'm assuming places like Summit will have these?

Re: brake light switch problem

Any autoparts store can get the brake switches. No need for mail order.
