Washed Engine: Won't Start

I washed the engine bay of my 305 82 Trans Am, waited till the morning and just cranked it over. The old beater throttle is sticky so I shut her down to lubricate it up.

Now it won't start back up... won't even engage the starter or try and turn over. Battery is fully charged and all other 12V systems function properly.

Is is there a main relay somewhere that got wet under the hood? Maybe it tripped a fuse? Any other ideas?

Re: Washed Engine: Won't Start

You should start by checking your battery connections your ground to the engine. This started lug has a power wire that runs to your fuse box and ignition switch from the ignition switch a purple wire If your battery connections are good you may have an issue with the purple wire at the starter itself.

Re: Washed Engine: Won't Start

Turns out a hit a kill switch under the dash looking at the pedal... now to find a thread on fixing that problem. Thanks for the feedback!
