1992 camaro rs high beam problems.

i own I 1992 camaro rs and when I first bought it the high beams would come on but after awhile it stopped. I've replaced the pull switch and I'm replacing the turn signal relay. What are some other things that could be making my high beams not come on? Thanks if you reply.

Re: 1992 camaro rs high beam problems.

The actual switch that works that is way down the column and actuated by a rod that is levered to move by the turn/ brights stalk . You can get down and find it. Push in on the switch and it will probably work. It's held in place by two little screws that can eventually let the switch slide down a bit. You just have to slightly loosen the screws, slide the switch toward you til the slack is taken up and tighten. Sometimes easier to drop the column a bit, then easier to see and do sitting in the drivers seat.

I've never seen the switch work loose, just plenty of tilt column pivot pins that have backed out making the column sloppy enough the rod doesn't push the switch far enough to click. In some cases if the column is bad enough the rod falls out of the cup in the switch.

There is no turn signal relay , and even if there were one it wouldn't affect your high beams .....
