Makes ya wish “global warming” was real, not just a scam.
Sounds like a break in the 12 volt line inside the dash.
You know power is getting to the tach, therefore use an ohmmeter to trace to the connector pin, and using that pin, trace inside the dash and find where the continuity stops.
That will be the break.
