Bringing wires into car

I am getting ready for spring and I have my Air fuel gauge physically installed. I am putting it here in the dash. I was wondering where you guys have put the wires into the car. I have had 3 ideas

1. Drill hole in firewall
2. Bring it in under the shifter boot
3. Drill hole in trans tunnel and bring it in there

What have you guys done and what would you do?

Re: Bringing wires into car

Does your car have cruise? If not there is a plug in the driver side firewall near the fusebox.

The hole plug for the antenna wire is pretty big and if you remove the plug and undo the metal clamps that hold it on the antenna cable a few wires will have room to go through.

IT had cruise before the previous owner removed it. I will look for that hole. Getting ready for spring and cant wait to get that carb tuned properly.

I used the antenna grommet to pull a fairly large wire for my amplifier. You can see the larger red wire in the first photo in this post.

Re: Bringing wires into car

I have used the grommet by the fuse box where the Cruise and some other wires come through to bring wires in. Just fish it through.
