I got my motor in finally cleaning up the engine bay. I go to start the vats by pass and realize i have a all metal ignition key. does this mean i dont have vats or someone already by passed it?

 

Vats lock cylinders come with a blank key cut to match the cylinder. Then you take the blank and your old key with the chip that matches the VATS module in the car, and have your locksmith make a new key with cuts to match the cylinder, and chip to match the car.

If the key blank without a chip starts the car, the VATS must be disabled.
