I have converted a 91 Formula over to a 16 volt system and the only question I have is about using 16v to control the headlight module. Can this be done or does it have to be stepped down to 12 volt?

The reason I ask is because i know the ARC 16v-12v step down converter cannot handle relays and this controller board schematic looks a lot like a relay to me. I know my trunk release relay would not work with the voltage stepped down.

Looking for any input or previous experiences on this before I pull the trigger and try it.
