Your tach input wire needs to go to the PRIMARY of the coil.
The tach wire goes from the PRIMARY non-key side of the coil, to the firewall connector, to the dash connector, to the tach.
It’s a White wire wire.
If the original is still there it’s a WHITE wire.

Speedo:
Find out if the 5speed is putting out a speed signal.
You can use an audio amp for that.
From there it connects to the Buffer Box located behind the instrument panel at the right.
You can use a GPS to find out if the speedo is accurate.
