Replacement Engine Wiring Harness

1991 Camaro Z28 Convertible
Does anyone know where I can purchase an aftermarket or NOS engine wiring harness?

I do know that Painless Performance does not offer this.

Re: Replacement Engine Wiring Harness

Used stock from the classifieds, parts car, or ebay is probably your best bet. Most of the individual pieces are available and cheap, a motivated person could build a new one from scratch, just a lot of work. Probably easier still to fix a damaged harness or convert a V6 harness.

I have seen NOS harnesses on eBay. I have a harness from a 91 Z28 if interested. It's in good shape, $200 shipped.

Re: Replacement Engine Wiring Harness

I would be interested in an NOS harness although I'm not sure about putting one on since the OEM parts were far from good. I may just make a few using high quality wiring and connectors.
No reason to put on a used harness in my opinion.

Funny you say that, because with the exception of user error, there's not much of anything that goes wrong with late thirdgen wiring. By 1991 nearly everything under the hood is weather-pack or metri-pack. Even by modern standards, our wiring isn't bad.

My car is an untouched original.
The wiring is dry rotted and crumbling.

Re: Replacement Engine Wiring Harness

Grab one from the wrecking yard or classifieds. Put on some new tubing or sleeving and it will look great. No reason to pain yourself with building a stock harness for a stock car with the stock engine.
