Engine: 305

Transmission: 700r4

Aldl cable question?

I have an old otc monitor 2000 scan tool was wondering if the cable would work with tuner pro.? Aldl on one end and the 8pin connector on the other, but using an 8pin to usb adapter? Would this work or lost cause?
