Hi,
I have a Camaro 91 5-Speed manual and the Back-up Lights stopped working.
I have done the following,
First I pulled the connector in the trunk that goes the lights and had a wire connected directly to the battery 12V+. I connected it to the light green on the connector and the back-up lights works fine.
Second, with ignition on I measured the voltage at the some connector but the lightgreen that comes from the front of the car and I have 12V+. But if I connect them again the back-up lights don't work. Strange....
Third, I raise the car to check the back-up light switch. Pulled the connector away and I measured with the tester again with ohm and it seems to work as it should with the reverse in and out.
Fourth, I took the wire with the 12V+ from the battery and connected it directly to the back-up light switch and measured it and it's 12V+ so it seems to work.
Last test, I let the wire be connected to the back-up light switch and took another wire so I got a connection to the light green cable. No lights working. I measured again and the voltage is 0V.
Can it be the back-up light switch that stopped working when the Amps runs through the switch since it seems to work as it should without the back-up lights connected?
Drives me crazy! Need help!!
Thanks!

Update,
I forgot to do the obvious, I pulled away the connector to the Back-up Light switch on the tranny and connected a wire on the connector and then I got the back-up lights to work with ignition on so the switch must be broken...
