Help identify plug under dash

I've got no dash lights (except high beam indicator does work) or warning lights like SES, seatbelt, etc. on the dash when turning key to on. Everything else seems to work, fuel pump primes, all exterior lights work, and starter will kick over. It's not ready to run yet so didn't try to actually start it. I've been undoing bubba's work under the dash and found this plug that looks to be coming from the back of the gauge panel so thinking this is the problem. Can someone help identify it and tell me where it should go. Wire colors are Grey, Purple, Yellow, and Black. Looking at a wiring diagram these look to be going to "Switch Illum. Lamp" and "IND. Lamp" but I don't know where it should be plugged into and can't see anywhere obvious.

Thanks for any/all input.

Nevermind. Found it after googling images for a couple hours. It's the fog light switch plug. I don't have fog lights anymore so must not be my problem...

Re: Help identify plug under dash

So since that plug isn't the problem can anyone give me a suggestion on what to check.
Details:
1991 Z28

- Everything seems to work including dome and mirror lights, door chime, fuel pump and starter, headlights, tailights...

- Key on-engine off I get no dash lights like seat belt or SES light. I did see the high beam indicator worked but nothing else...

Anyone tell me what powers the gauge cluster? Turn indicators and high beam indicator work but nothing else... assuming it's got to be the power source....

Did you check the 10 amp fuse marked "gauges" in the fusebox ?

All fuses are good even checked with a meter at the fuse box. Looks like I need to probe pink/black wire and see if I lose lower at some point. Thanks

If your Z28's gauge unit is like the one in my car (Firebird) a good likely spot to check is where the gauge unit's plugs go into the connectors in the dashboard when the gauge unit it put into place . When you take the gauge unit out there are no connections you have to disconnect , once the screws are out the gauge unit will pull out leaving the connectors both in the dashboard and the gauge unit . It's those connectors you want to look at to see if any are dirty/pitted/burnt or otherwise not making good contact .
