I need help locationg the INLINE Fuse for the pulldown motor
I also need help locating the trunk pop relay.
Pictures would be extremely helpful.
i was able to follow the RED/WHITE pulldown motor wire to the driverside kick panel but then lose it as it goes up into the dash. I have a lot of my own wiring spools and car starter crap in the way. but before ripping **** out I would like a better idea of where i need to go.
i have asked and gotten multiple locations on the hatch release relay. behind the dash trim near the ECM on the passenger side etc...
just would like to tackle this once and for all thank you.
Pretty sure there is no in-line fuse. Should be in the fuse block, might be labeled "LID" or something cryptic like that.
Relay is tucked into the wiring behind the removable lower panel on the passenger's dash, under the dash pocket. It might be on the side of the divider behind the panel, or between the divider and the A/C box. It'll be a white or black plastic block with three wires. Can't really miss it.
Is the pop relay in the same location on a 89? I have spent the past 3 hours looking for it. I've seen it listed as being under the center console, on the left side of the HVAC controls or behind the passenger side dash. I have had ZERO luck tracking this little guy down.
disregard my post. After reading another post i found the connector. It was above the passenger side kick panel but there was no relay. I put the horn relay in and it clicked but the hatch still wouldn't pop. After some more checking i realized the car never came with the rear hatch pop option. i realized this when i was trying to figure out where to plug the black wire in on the rear latch. Apparently within the past 15 years i replaced the cluster bezel that had the hatch pop switch in it.
The funny thing is me and my wife both swear it worked at some point but there is now way it could have...

I'm getting old......
It could have been a different car you and your wife were thinking of , have enough cars for long enough and it becomes easy to forget which car had what .
